what exactly are the class rules? from the videos ive watched not many of the cars seem as if they are anywhere near "street' cars so its a little confusing.. also throwing this out there, the $20 entry for the race on top of the $30 track entry is gonna break the smaller guys like me, for it to just be a small series on t&t nights myself and some other guys dont see why it should be so much... not trying to complain just wondering. Definitly would like to know the actual class rules so that we know where our cars would standseeing how they are DAILY drivers. thanks

the rules are posted here is the link http://headsupstreetcarseries.createaforum.com/general-discussion/new-rules-!/      if you dont understand still here is a quick run down.

we had rules tighter but it would stop alot of cars from showing up - example tire size engine size ladder bar etc....

ok for the run down-
everyone runs (no tube cars) qualifying then cars are separated in 3 classes outlaw street , ez street & real street.  1 vs 2 3 vs 4 etc.... track manager and myself pick the tightest cars running together. this makes the most exciting and close racing.
NO SAND BAGGER  rule-
no car can go faster then .2 in eliminations" EXCEPT FOR #2 TO TAKE OUT #1 BY STEPPIN UP HIS/HER GAME".  #2 must maintain that et and not go faster- NO SAND BAGGERS !
STILL DONT UNDERSTAND , COME OUT AND RUN ITS FUN FUN FUN !

heads up street car series RULES / Re: NEW RULES !
« on: March 27, 2013, 05:00:53 am »
Jon he means where are the CLASS rules.  The rules on this page just talk about the spirit of competition.  Where are the rules for the 3 separate classes, Outlaw Street, EZ Street and Real Street?  They were on the home page but I don't see them there now.

those are the rules , CAR WILL BE SPLIT INTO SEPARATE CLASSES this will allow more cars to be able to fit , 1st event racers voted it at the end of the night. say 30 cars enter , all run then will be divided into classes(outlaw street , ez street , real street) . cars paired closest to et or pick random. i like the idea of 1vs2 3vs4 etc. i think racing will be tighter. some may not & like random pairing
we will have drivers meeting in staging lanes to go over rules etc.

thanks
jon a or chris a who am i ?

heads up street car series RULES / NEW RULES !
« on: March 23, 2013, 09:47:39 am »
think more cars will come for this -
Street-type cars/trucks are encouraged. No full tube chassis cars allowed unless its for     exhibition purposes, but back-half cars are permitted in some classes. Maximum measured tread width of rear tire not to     exceed 15.5 inches. we reserves the right to alter these very liberal rules in the name of even competition. 3. All racers must pass track safety inspection. i. e. Helmet, roll bars, safety harnesses.  Heads-up! .4 Pro-Tree! Just like the big boys! . Staging at Pro-tree: Courtesy Staging: Both drivers must be pre-staged before either car may be placed in a staged position.    This allows both drivers and even chance to stage . qualifying. You are encouraged to run at least 2 of the 3 qualifying rounds. (if time allows)You cannot change classes after the first round of qualifying has started unless they put you in the wrong class. . You will be placed onto the a ladder according to your best qualifying pass. This is your index. It is important that  you qualify as fast as you can  After qualifying round(S), and before the Elimination round, all drivers will be required to check in with the track officals     Racing officials base of the tower and tell us that you intend to run in the Elimination round. This is to prevent single runs where the opponent has broke or has left early. There will be no exceptions to this rule. If you don’t check-in, you will not be called for the Elimination round.  There will be 1 and only 1 Elimination round! Racers will be matched up, #1 qualifier vs #2 qualifier and so on down the  ladder. The guarantees  that you will have a heads-up, pro-tree race against the closest performing competitor on the property, regardless of modifications, races will be close, competitive, and full of fun and excitement.  If you are unable to make the call for the Elimination Round, PLEASE let the track official know!! This information is necessary so that we can match the ladder correctly during the Elimination Round. IF you do not report as being ready for competition you will not be called for the final Elimination Round,  In the event of an odd number of entrants, the slowest qualifier will have a single run during the Elimination round. Sand Bagger Rule: There is a two/two breakout rule in effect! If you go more than two-tenths quicker or 2 mph faster than your index, you will be determined the loser. If both cars  go below their index by this amount the racer closest to his index  will be declared the winner. Let’s qualify as fast as we can so the ladder stays competitive. (The only exception to this rule is between the top 2 qualifiers. If you are the #2 qualifier, and you want to step up your car more than two-tenths or 2       mph in an effort to beat the #1 Qualifier-- Go For It!!) We don’t like to having to use this rule, but some people are intentionally holding back till eliminations to try and guarantee a win instead of leaving it up to the driving skill and reaction time .track officials reserves the rights to randomly inspect cars for rules violations. Any racer that refuses to subject their car to a visual or mechanical inspection (Not a tear down) may be forfeited and be removed from the racing program. Protest procedure: If you want to protest another competitor for any reason, you must bring this to the attention  of a  official before the 3rd round of qualifying. The protested driver will be made aware of who is protesting and for what at the time of the vehicle inspection. Warning!! Do not get carried away with protesting each other There are trophies and a lot of pride on the line,  but it’s not worth the sanity of the the staff or making enemies of your competitors. The bottom line is to be safe and have a great time!! Enjoy the competition
